The 20 worst-tasting tap water sampling points
Tap water taste is driven mainly by chlorine and hardness. Sampling points are ranked by the two combined, using the same thresholds as the report: chlorine / 0.6 mg/l plus hardness / 330 mg CaCO3/l. In Malta, sodium from desalination adds a salty taste that this ranking does not count.
